Minutes of a meeting of the above Committee held at Wickham Community Centre on Monday 26th November 2007 at 8pm.

Committee members present: Angela Clear (Chairman), Di Frost, Sue Roger-Jones

Parish Councillor Justin Gamblin, Member of the public Dr Morgan O’Connell, Parish Clerk Nicki Oliver

1     To receive apologies for absence: Cllr Mike Carter.

2     To receive declarations of interest on agenda items: none.

3     To adjourn meeting to allow participation by members of the public:

Dr O’Connell wished the Committee to note his objection to providing funding towards Wickham Festival.

In response it was noted that 702 Wickham residents (adults and children) took advantage of free entry on the Friday festival day.  It was also agreed to ask Peter Chegwyn, the festival organiser, for a copy of the accounts before considering future grants.

4     Agenda

4.1 To discuss precept request for 2008/9 including project proposals / funding requests: some requests were discussed, draft precept to be prepared for next meeting as tax base figures not yet available.

4.2 To review income and expenditure to end of year: details circulated.

4.3 Annual review of Clerk’s salary, to consider adopting new contract as recommended by HALC: refer to next meeting.

4.4  Annual review of football pitch fees (currently £35 for adults £20 for  children): it was agreed to recommend to Full Council that the adult’s fee be raised to £40 and children’s to £25.
