Minutes of a meeting of the above Committee held at Wickham Community Centre on Monday 25th February 2008 at 7pm

Present: Jenny Hollis (Chairman), Angela Clear, Di Frost, Justin Gamblin, Michael Sadler-Forster

1.    To receive apologies for absence: Cllr Mike Bennett

Representatives of Wessex Shia Ithna Asheri Jamaat outlined the revised proposals for Overway, the proposed building reduces the previous floor area by 250m2 with reduced building heights

4.    To approve minutes of previous meeting (not necessary)

5.1 Ref No: W20995 Case No: 08/00079/FUL Case Officer:  Neil Mackintosh Applicant: Mr N Antoniou Proposal: 3 no. detached dwellings with garaging and associated access in land to the rear of North Park Cottages (OUTLINE CONSIDERING ACCESS AND LAYOUT) Location: North Park Mayles Lane Knowle  Comment: No objections but concern that construction of the entrance will damage existing trees.

5.2 Ref No: W05356/12 Case No: 08/00090/FUL Applicant:  John Cooper Proposal: Conservatory to rear and new porch Location: Bungalow adjoining Meonpool Tanfield Park Wickham PO17 5NP Object, the proposals are unsympathetic to the existing roofline and the conservatory design is detrimental to the integrity of the existing building.

5.3 Ref No: W01569/16LBCase No: 08/00106/LIS/ 08/00108/FUL Case Officer: Elaine Walters Applicant: Mr Phil White Proposal: Erection of detached garden building Location: 2 The Lower House Winchester Road Wickham PO17 5EU Object, the proposals obscure an important space between the  listed building and new development preventing views through.  The design and proposed construction of the building are unsympathetic  to the conservation area.  Request application is determined by Committee if officer delegated decision is to permit.

5.5 Ref No: W15067/04 Case No: 08/00130/FUL Case Officer:  Dave Dimon Applicant: Wessex Shia Ithna Asheri Jamaat Proposal: Community centre/place of worship (use class D1- non-residential institutions) Location: Overway Fontley Road Titchfield PO15 6QR Support - the principle of community use on this site is strongly supported as the current permission for industrial use would severely impact on the inadequate local road network and be detrimental to the amenity of nearby residents.
