Minutes of a meeting of the above Committee held at Wickham Community Centre on Wednesday 18th April 2007 at 7.30pm.

5        Agenda

5.1 To receive update on proposals for Knowle recreation facilities: details of the areas Berkeley could transfer to the PC have been requested together with the management specification.  Meeting arranged for 17th May to discuss proposed layout of the new pavilion.

5.2 To receive update on proposals to construct new Scout headquarters on the Recreation Ground: design guidelines for pavilions and village halls to be circulated to members, ideas to be forwarded to the Chairman/Clerk.

5.3 To readdress shortfall in sports fields and discuss new and existing possibilities. Refer to next meeting, outcome of South East Plan enquiry required before further action taken.

5.4 Proposal to place order with E J Services to carry out remedial work on the Recreation Ground play area in the sum of £1100 + VAT to comply with safety inspectors requirements as follows: 

Remove and dispose of existing spring unit

Supply and install SMP Cat Spring Unit

Repair wetpour as necessary

Supply and fit 2 no. cradle seats to swings with new bushes

      Funded using part of £4K discount received from Kompan for new play     

      equipment in 2006 Agreed to place order

6        Questions and comments from Councillors

Another picnic bench for the Recreation Ground suggested.

Look at whether the new hedge can be extended into the play area

Tree on boundary with 17 Manor Close needs attention following lopping by resident.
